Gartner, Inc., the world’s leading research and advisory firm, analyzed and evaluated 10 software solutions for strategic portfolio management (SPM).
As defined by Gartner, strategic portfolio management is a set of business capabilities, processes, and supporting portfolio management technology. SPM helps companies implement and adapt their enterprise-wide strategy.

Broadcom’s Clarity solution is again positioned in the leaders’ quadrant of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Strategic Portfolio Management Tools. Which means, it is rated among the top positions on the “Ability to Execute” and “Completeness of Vision” evaluation axes.

Gartner highlights Clarity’s clear focus on digital transformation as a particular strength. Clarity reflects optimization for customers’ digital business challenges and addresses the needs of stakeholders involved in SPM use cases.

In addition, Broadcom’s annual investment in Clarity demonstrates the software vendor’s strong dedication to the SPM product. Numerous innovations and enhancements are implemented each year.

Gartner states in the report that “Enterprises continue to experience significant business disruption (e.g., supply chain constraints, talent shortages). (…) They “need to be proactive and nimbly reactive in delivering on business outcomes by adopting strong SPM capabilities and practices. “SPM technology is designed to help users maintain enterprisewide strategy-to-execution alignment, communication, adaptation and decision making. It allows for adaptation in strategic investment planning and execution when strategies shift or evolve due to changing priorities or emergent business disruptions.”¹

In recent years, Broadcom’s PPM software Clarity has been positioned several times as a “Leader” in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Project and Portfolio Management (last published in 2019).²
